What are the symptoms of cervical erosion?

The main symptoms of cervical erosion include increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, contact bleeding, pain, bladder symptoms, etc.

1. Increased vaginal discharge: A common symptom of patients with cervical erosion is increased vaginal discharge. As the degree of erosion worsens and infection occurs, the amount of vaginal discharge will further increase, and the color may change, such as yellow or bloody, and even purulent secretions may appear with a more viscous texture.

2. Vulvar itching: As the increase of leucorrhea irritates the vulva, patients with cervical erosion may develop vulvitis or vaginitis, which in turn causes symptoms of vulvar itching or pain.

3. Contact bleeding: During sexual intercourse, patients with cervical erosion may experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding, which usually stops on its own.

4. Pain: Mild cervical erosion generally does not cause pain, but as the condition worsens, connective tissue inflammation may occur, leading to symptoms such as low back pain, abdominal pain, and dysmenorrhea. Pain may also occur during sexual intercourse.

5. Bladder symptoms: When cervical erosion worsens, it may infect the bladder triangle area, causing symptoms such as frequent urination, painful urination, and urgency.

If these symptoms occur, it is recommended to actively seek medical attention and undergo necessary examinations and treatment. At the same time, you should also pay attention to maintaining good personal hygiene habits to prevent cervical infection.
