What causes cervical erosion? Four reasons for cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is a relatively common gynecological disease in women, which causes great distress to patients. This disease not only causes physical pain to patients, but also brings great inconvenience to daily life. Modern medicine is so developed that it is not difficult to treat. The difficult part is to develop good habits to prevent the recurrence of the disease. If we want to prevent it, we need to understand its cause. So, what is caused by cervical erosion?

After cervical erosion occurs, there will often be increased and sticky vaginal discharge, milky white or light yellow purulent secretions, sometimes bloody or mixed with blood; the vulva may be irritated by increased vaginal discharge and may develop vulvitis or vaginitis, causing itching and pain.
When the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterosacral ligament and cardinal ligament and cause pelvic connective tissue inflammation, causing pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling; when the inflammation spreads to the bladder trigone or around the bladder, frequent urination or difficulty urinating may occur, and sexual intercourse may also cause contact bleeding or odor.

Causes of cervical erosion
1. Multiple artificial abortions
Multiple artificial abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological surgeries caused by premarital sex may lead to cervical injury or inflammation, and finally cause cervical erosion.
2. Unclean sexual life
Too many sexual partners. Premarital sex is common among young people today. Premature sexual life, frequent changes of sexual partners and excessive sexual intensity (more than 4 times a week) are causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

3. Menstruation lasts too long
Due to excessive menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual period, the squamous epithelium of the cervix is immersed in alkaline secretions and menstrual blood, and is stimulated for a long time, forming inflammation; or due to congenital erosion, the estrogen level decreases, the cervix is congested, and the endocervical epithelium proliferates and moves downward, causing the cervix to become eroded.
4. Excessive cleaning
If you choose inappropriate cleaning products and use a high concentration of disinfectant to flush the vagina, it will not only cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage, but it will also affect the growth of normal vaginal flora, reduce its ability to inhibit bacteria, and eventually cause erosion.
