What are the items to be checked for pelvic inflammatory disease? 6 examination methods can be used to diagnose

Since the female reproductive system itself has a natural defense function, it can resist the invasion of foreign harmful substances. However, if you do not pay attention to the details of life and hygiene, it is easy to cause gynecological diseases. For the diagnosis of pelvic inflammatory disease, it can be examined and diagnosed through secretion smear, ultrasound examination, laparoscopy, pathogen culture, puncture and other methods.

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common gynecological disease in women of childbearing age. The typical symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease are fever, lower abdominal pain and a large amount of leucorrhea, accompanied by fatigue, back pain and menstrual disorders. In severe cases, high fever, chills, headache and loss of appetite may occur. Pelvic inflammatory disease seriously affects women's health. It is recommended to actively cooperate with doctors for treatment. So what items are checked for pelvic inflammatory disease?
1. Direct examination of secretions
Take vaginal secretions, urethral secretions or the patient's peritoneal fluid for direct thin-layer smear, dry, and then Gram stain. As long as Gram-negative diplococci are found in polymorphonuclear leukocytes, it can be diagnosed as gonorrhea infection.
2. Pathogen culture
The specimens are from the same source as pathogen culture. After the specimen is collected, it is inoculated into the corresponding culture medium immediately or within 30 seconds, and then placed in an incubator at 35°C for 48 hours to identify the bacteria. In addition, bacterial culture can also obtain other aerobic or anaerobic strains and can serve as the basis for selecting antibiotics.
3. Puncture
The contents of the abdominal cavity or the contents of the uterine rectal fossa obtained after puncture, such as normal peritoneal fluid, blood, and purulent secretions, can further confirm pelvic inflammatory disease.
4. Ultrasound examination
Ultrasound has an accuracy of about 85% and can be used to identify masses or abscesses formed by adhesions of the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and intestines. However, mild and moderate pelvic inflammatory disease is difficult to show unique features on B-mode ultrasound images that can help identify it.
5. Laparoscopy
If it is not diffuse peritonitis, the patient is usually in good condition and can undergo laparoscopy. In addition to helping to clarify the diagnosis and differential diagnosis, laparoscopy can also make a preliminary judgment on the extent of pelvic inflammatory disease.
6. Check the male partner
Examination of the male partner can help diagnose female pelvic inflammatory disease. Direct smear staining or gonorrhea culture of urethral secretions, if positive, is an important proof of diagnosis of pelvic inflammatory disease. This is very important for the diagnosis of asymptomatic or mild symptoms, and can help early detection and early treatment.
