Does cervical erosion affect pregnancy? There is a certain correlation

Cervical erosion is a common disease. This disease occurs widely and affects women between the ages of 20 and 60. We also know that many gynecological diseases can affect fertility. So some young women who have not given birth yet suffer from cervical erosion and are very worried about this problem. So does cervical erosion affect pregnancy?

Will cervical erosion cause infertility? <br/>In addition to the symptoms of increased vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding, menstrual disorders, lower abdominal pain, etc., cervical erosion is most concerned about infertility. So does cervical erosion affect pregnancy? It can be said that there is a certain correlation between cervical erosion and infertility, but there is no absolute causal relationship. Generally speaking, cervical erosion often affects pregnancy in the following situations:
1. The cervical secretions increase and are mixed with a large number of white blood cells and pathogenic bacteria, which destroys the normal physiological environment of the vagina, limits the activity of sperm, and shortens the survival time;
2. The cervical mucosa proliferates due to inflammation, which may cause polyps to block the cervical opening, directly affecting the smooth passage of sperm;
3. Uterine mucus is thick and hinders the normal movement of sperm.
The texture and amount of cervical mucus are directly related to whether sperm can pass through the cervix and enter the uterine cavity. Under normal circumstances, during the ovulation period, under the action of estrogen, the cervical mucus has a higher water content and a thin texture, which is conducive to the passage of sperm. When cervical erosion occurs, especially moderate and severe cervical erosion, the cervical secretions will increase significantly, become thick, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will have an adverse effect on the activity of sperm and hinder the sperm from entering the uterine cavity, thus affecting conception.
Generally speaking, mild cervical erosion will not lead to infertility; but if you suffer from moderate or severe cervical erosion and infertility, the patient should actively treat it. Patients do not need to worry too much about the impact of cervical erosion on pregnancy. As long as the cervical erosion is treated correctly, it will not affect pregnancy. It should be noted that different degrees of cervical erosion require different treatment measures. It is best for patients to go to a professional gynecological hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
