Pelvic peritonitis is a common disease in women. It is an inflammation caused by pathogens invading the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, connective tissue around the uterus and pelvic membrane. When the inflammation is limited to the fallopian tubes and ovaries, it is called adnexitis. Generally speaking, unmarried women are not prone to internal genital inflammation, but this is not absolute. So, what is the reason for unmarried women to suffer from pelvic peritonitis? 1. Bad living habits such as taking a bath during menstruation are common causes. Because the body's resistance is reduced during menstruation, the lower body is soaked in water, and the pathogenic bacteria in the water can enter the internal reproductive organs through the vagina. If you swim during menstruation, it is easier for the bacteria in the water to enter the vagina, and then enter the uterus and fallopian tubes, causing inflammation. 2. Other diseases The most common one is appendicitis. If the doctor is delayed, the appendix will become purulent and the inflammatory exudate will flow into the pelvic cavity, causing salpingitis. In case of acute enteritis, the bacteria in the intestine can be transmitted to the genitals through the lymphatic vessels, causing genital inflammation. The bacteria of pulmonary tuberculosis can flow into the pelvic cavity through the blood; in case of intestinal tuberculosis, the bacteria can directly invade the genitals, causing genital tuberculosis. 3. The reason why unmarried women suffer from pelvic peritonitis is unclean masturbation. Dirty fingers or dirty instruments are stained with pathogens, and may even contain gonococci, mycoplasma and other STD pathogens. When these dirty things are used to massage the clitoris or insert into the vagina, the bacteria may be brought into the body and cause inflammation. Pelvic peritonitis is often a mixed infection caused by more than one pathogen. Although pathogens can be transmitted through blood or lymph, and sometimes directly spread from surrounding tissues or organs, the vast majority of pelvic peritonitis is caused by pathogens in the vagina that travel along the mucosal surface to the pelvic organs. Inflammation of the reproductive organs and surrounding tissues is often not isolated, but affects each other and becomes inflamed at the same time. After suffering from pelvic peritonitis, if the fallopian tubes are also affected, it will cause adhesions and complete blockage of the lumen, which may affect future pregnancy and cause infertility; if the inflammation is limited to the pelvic connective tissue and the fallopian tubes are not affected, it will not affect the reproductive function. Therefore, unmarried women should seek timely treatment once pelvic peritonitis is found! |
