Clinical nursing measures for patients with amenorrhea

Clinical nursing measures for patients with amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is a common symptom in gynecological diseases and can be caused by various reasons. Amenorrhea is usually divided into primary and secondary types. Those who have not had menstruation after the age of 18 are called primary amenorrhea; those who have stopped menstruating for more than 6 months at any time after menarche and before normal menopause (except pregnancy or lactation) are called secondary amenorrhea. So what are the clinical nursing measures for patients with amenorrhea?

Nursing care for patients with amenorrhea:

1. Strengthen psychological support

Pay attention to establishing a good nurse-patient relationship, encourage patients to express their feelings, ask questions about health problems, treatment and prognosis, provide patients with diagnosis and treatment information, help them clarify some concepts, relieve patients' psychological pressure of worrying about the disease and its effects, and encourage them to build confidence and actively cooperate with the diagnosis and treatment process.

2. Promote the interaction between patients and society

During the diagnosis and treatment process, patients are encouraged to interact with their peers and relatives, participate in social activities within their ability, maintain a good mood, and treat the disease correctly.

3. Guiding rational drug use

The effects, side effects, dosage, specific methods of use, time, etc. of hormones should be understood to ensure that patients cooperate correctly.

4. Health education

Explain the common factors related to amenorrhea, help the nursing object identify the high-risk factors leading to amenorrhea, and guide the treatment plan. Provide patients with adequate nutrition, encourage them to exercise more, maintain a standard weight, and improve their physical fitness.
