Is it difficult to lose weight in winter? Tea for strengthening the spleen and promoting diuresis challenges the impossible

With the cold wind blowing, losing weight in winter seems to be an "impossible task". Chinese medicine practitioners remind us that obesity is mostly caused by overeating or too little exercise. "Eat less and move more" is the basic skill for weight loss. It is recommended to drink more spleen-strengthening and diuretic tea to help burn fat. It can not only remove edema, but also help regulate the body's metabolism and get rid of fat.

Li Yujia, a practicing female Chinese medicine practitioner, pointed out that winter is a difficult season for those who want to lose weight. Including: Christmas, Winter Solstice, year-end party, Chinese New Year, Lantern Festival, etc., all of which require big dinners to celebrate. Coupled with the laziness of sitting for a long time and the cold winter, the calories consumed increase instead of decrease, which makes the body invisible have an extra layer of annoying fat.

It's all due to obesity

Clinically, Chinese medicine believes that obesity and weight gain are mainly caused by the accumulation of phlegm and dampness. Obesity can generally be divided into two categories: "false obesity" and "real obesity", commonly known as "false obesity" and "real obesity".

1. "Pseudo-obesity" physique: refers to a person who is obese but also has fair skin, soft muscles, easy fatigue, excessive sweating and little urine, and sometimes edema in the lower limbs.

2. "Solid fat" physique: refers to obesity caused by excessive accumulation of fat in the body. The physique is relatively solid and is usually accompanied by constipation, high blood pressure, high blood lipids and other symptoms.

Basically, the causes of obesity can be divided into two types from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine: internal and external causes. The internal causes are "insufficient true yang, weak spleen qi, and internal retention of phlegm and dampness." External causes are caused by overeating and too little exercise. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the spleen controls muscles and can transport nutrients and digest food to nourish the whole body. If you want to lose weight but don’t want to drink plain water, medicinal tea may be a good choice.
