How much does ovarian cyst treatment cost?

For women, the size of ovarian cysts will vary from person to person, but as long as the cyst is less than 5 cm in diameter and grows very slowly, women can go to the hospital for regular check-ups. If there is no increase in size, some medication can be used to inhibit or completely eliminate the growth of the cyst.

If the diameter of the cyst exceeds 5 cm, it will generally cause certain harm to the female body. For example, women will have varying degrees of dysmenorrhea and pain during sexual life. Therefore, surgical treatment will be adopted this time. When the doctor diagnoses the patient, the 5 cm cyst phenomenon is used as the dividing line, but other physical conditions will also be considered and treatment will be considered comprehensively.

Different types of cysts

According to the tumor growth rate, size, characteristics, side, activity level, and complications, it can be divided into:

1. Ovarian mucinous tumor: Although the tumor is large, there are no obvious symptoms. It is cystic and slightly full, and has a slightly irregular shape.

2. Ovarian fibroma: as big as a fist, solid, nodular on the surface, floating ascites, and pleural effusion on one side.

3. Cystic teratoma: same size, softer solid, grows bilaterally, and has no effect on menstruation.

4. Malignant changes of benign tumors: In the above situation, the growth is sudden and rapid, one of the tumors becomes hard and cancerous or becomes soft, necrotic and bleeds, and changes from being movable to being fixed.

5. Primary malignant ovarian tumor: It starts out as solid, grows bilaterally, develops rapidly, and is accompanied by ascites, even edema of one lower limb, malnutrition, and adenocarcinoma is the most common.

6. Gastrointestinal metastases: Gastrointestinal symptoms occur first, and then bilateral ovarian solid tumors are discovered.
