What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts? Five symptoms worth noting

What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts that are worth paying attention to?

1. Lower abdominal discomfort: Due to the weight of the tumor itself and the influence of intestinal peristalsis and posture changes, the tumor moves in the pelvic cavity, involving its pedicle and pelvic infundibulum ligament, making the patient feel a swelling and falling lower abdomen or bone fossa.

2. Abdominal mass: This is a common symptom of ovarian cysts. The patient consciously feels that the lower abdominal mass is gradually increasing or touching the abdominal mass. Or the mass is found during a gynecological examination.

3. Compression symptoms: Huge benign ovarian tumors can cause compression symptoms. For example, compression of the diaphragm can cause palpitations and dyspnea; increased intra-abdominal pressure affects the venous return of the lower limbs, causing edema of both lower limbs; compression of the bladder can cause frequent urination, dysuria or urinary retention; tumors located in the rectouterine pouch can compress the rectum, causing a feeling of falling or difficulty in defecation; compression of the gastrointestinal tract can also cause upper abdominal discomfort and loss of appetite.

4. Abdominal pain: Benign ovarian tumors generally do not cause abdominal pain. When abdominal pain occurs, especially when it occurs suddenly, it is mostly caused by torsion of the ovarian tumor pedicle. Occasionally, the tumor may rupture, bleed, or become infected.

5. Menstrual disorders: Generally, ovarian or even bilateral ovarian cysts do not cause menstrual disorders because they do not destroy all normal ovarian tissues. Some uterine bleeding is not caused by endocrine or ovarian tumors that change the pelvic vascular distribution and cause endometrial congestion; or because ovarian malignant tumors directly metastasize to the endometrium, menstrual disorders are caused by other secretory influences.
