What to do if adenomyosis causes bleeding after pregnancy

What about bleeding after pregnancy with adenomyosis?

1. Adenomyosis can affect pregnancy, and the incidence of infertility is still very high. The simplest reason why adenomyosis causes infertility is that it causes adhesions behind the uterus and poor activity; it can also cause adhesions of the fallopian tubes, leading to weak peristalsis of the fallopian tubes.

2. Severe endometriosis blocks the fallopian tubes, restricts the movement of sperm and eggs, and hinders fertilization and migration of pregnant eggs. When endometriosis is in the ovaries, larger chocolate cysts will affect the function of the ovaries. It can also cause bleeding. It is recommended that you check in time and receive standardized treatment.

3. For young people who want to have children, are near menopause, are unwilling to undergo surgery, or have recurring symptoms after conservative surgery, drug treatment can be considered. Commonly used drugs include danazol, gestrinone, oral contraceptives, progesterone, mifepristone, and gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists. However, these drugs can cause amenorrhea and have certain side effects, so they must be used under the guidance of a doctor.

4. When drug treatment is ineffective or dysmenorrhea is long-term and severe, surgical treatment should be performed. Surgical treatment includes radical surgery and conservative surgery. Radical surgery is hysterectomy, and conservative surgery includes adenomyosis adenomyoma resection, endometrial and myometrial resection, laparoscopic myometrial electrocoagulation, etc. If the symptoms are severe, the lesions are extensive, and there is no desire to have children, subtotal hysterectomy or total hysterectomy can be performed.
