Can I get pregnant with an ovarian cyst?

1. Ovarian tumors are common tumors of the female reproductive organs, with various properties and forms, namely: single or mixed type, unilateral or bilateral, cystic or solid, benign or malignant, among which cystic is more common, and the degree of malignant transformation is very high. Early diagnosis is difficult, 70% of them are in the late stage when they seek medical treatment, and they rarely receive early treatment. The 5-year survival rate has always hovered at 20-30%, which is one of the most serious malignant tumors that threaten women's lives.

2. The ovaries are where the eggs develop, mature and are discharged. The follicles at different stages are in the ovarian cortex. If the ovaries are damaged, the development, maturation and discharge of the eggs will be impaired, which will cause infertility. Ovarian cysts are a type of ovarian tumor. Clinically, they often manifest as lower abdominal pain, lower abdominal discomfort, increased vaginal discharge, yellow vaginal discharge, odorous vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, and usually a firm and painless swelling in the lower abdomen. Sometimes sexual intercourse can cause pain.

3. The mechanism of infertility is related to the impact on ovulation. Some ovarian cysts with endocrine functions, such as ovarian thyroid tumors, ovarian granulosa-thecoma cell tumors, testicular blastomas, etc., may produce some corresponding hormones due to the different tumor tissue components they contain, thereby affecting the normal secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation, causing amenorrhea, uterine bleeding, hirsutism and infertility.
