What are the symptoms of cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is also known as cervical columnar epithelial ectopia. Cervical columnar epithelial ectopia is a normal physiological phenomenon with no special clinical manifestations. Some people may have contact bleeding, but this is just an individual difference in the cervix. If the leucorrhea increases, turns yellow, and has a peculiar smell, it is a manifestation of cervical inflammation. Cervical cysts and hypertrophy are also the result of chronic cervical inflammation.

The precursor of cervical erosion is often increased vaginal discharge, sticky, milky white or light yellow purulent secretions, sometimes blood or mixed blood. The vulva may be stimulated by increased vaginal discharge and may develop vulvitis or vaginitis, itching and pain. When the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterosacral ligament and the main ligament, causing inflammation of the pelvic connective tissue, causing pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling; when the inflammation affects the bladder triangle or around the bladder, frequent urination or difficulty urinating may occur, and sexual intercourse may also cause contact bleeding or odor.

During the recovery process of cervical erosion, it is forbidden to take a bath, avoid sexual intercourse, and do not wash the vagina to prevent infection and recurrence of the disease. Do not sit still for a long time. The habit of sitting for a long time will lead to poor blood circulation. Women who sit still for a long time have poor perineum permeability, obstructed blood circulation, and are more susceptible to infection.
