Symptoms of endometrial tuberculosis in women

Endometrial tuberculosis is a common gynecological disease among women. The occurrence of endometrial tuberculosis is related to many factors. Most patients will have symptoms such as infertility, dysmenorrhea, and irregular menstruation, but at the same time, about 20% of patients with endometrial tuberculosis have no symptoms. So what are the symptoms of endometrial tuberculosis in women? Let's take a look at the detailed introduction in the article below.

1. Menstrual disorders: A small number of patients with endometrial tuberculosis may experience increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period or menstrual disorder. Acute abdominal pain. If the ovarian endometrial tuberculosis cyst ruptures, acute abdominal pain may occur, which often occurs during menstruation and may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and anal distension. Sometimes the menstrual flow increases or the menstrual period is prolonged, and there may also be premenstrual spotting.

2. Dysmenorrhea: It is a typical symptom of endometrial tuberculosis, characterized by secondary and progressive dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea mostly occurs before and during menstruation, usually 1-2 days before menstruation, the most severe on the first day of menstruation, and the pain is relieved or even disappears after menstruation. The pain is mostly located in the lower abdomen and lumbar region, and can radiate to the vagina, perineum, anus, and thighs. The degree of pain is not necessarily proportional to the size of the lesion. If the tuberculous endometrium involves the uterus and rectum, posterior rectouterine pouch, and uterofemoral ligament, there are often sexual pain and anal swelling during sex, especially during menstruation.

3. Infertility: The infertility rate of patients with endometrial tuberculosis is over 3 times higher than that of normal women, which may be related to changes in pelvic structure, changes in ovarian hormones, and autoimmune responses.

4. Intestinal or urinary tract symptoms: When tuberculosis lesions involve the rectum, sigmoid colon, bladder, and ureters, symptoms of endometrial tuberculosis such as difficulty in defecation, diarrhea, constipation, and even periodic bloody stools, frequent urination, urgency, and hematuria may occur.
