What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts and how can they be treated?

Ovarian cysts may not show symptoms in the early stage, but most symptoms are discovered during gynecological examinations. The symptoms that may occur are as follows: patients consciously increase their abdominal circumference, can feel a mass in the lower abdomen, especially in the morning to keep clear urine, which may disappear after urination. Occasionally, there is low back pain, abdominal distension, and frequent urination, but no urinary pain, urgency, or constipation. If the ovarian cyst pedicle is twisted or ruptured, it will manifest as acute abdominal pain, which is a common acute abdomen in clinical practice.

Preventive measures include:

1. Carry out health education on high-protein, vitamin-rich diet and avoid high-cholesterol foods. High-risk women can take oral contraceptives for prevention.

2. Screening of high-risk populations: mainly including risk assessment, genetic counseling, and BRCA gene testing. Appropriate medical intervention is provided to high-risk patients.

3. Pay attention to the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian tumors: Have regular physical examinations every year, cooperate with B-ultrasound, and wait for CA125 examinations. Ovarian cysts larger than 125px should be removed in time. Women before puberty, after menopause, or taking oral contraceptives should be diagnosed with ovarian enlargement in a timely manner. If the pelvic mass cannot be diagnosed or the treatment is ineffective, surgical examination should be performed as soon as possible.
