Treatment of multiple uterine fibroids How to use medication for multiple uterine fibroids

Due to the high incidence of multiple uterine fibroids (the incidence rate of women in childbearing period is about 25%), it is also very harmful to women's health and will bring some shadows to women's daily life. In fact, as a conventional treatment method, Chinese medicine cannot treat multiple uterine fibroids.

1. Surgical treatment

At present, most hospitals use laparoscopic minimally invasive technology, which integrates examination, treatment, surgery, and image display. The surgical area is displayed on a TV screen through a small incision on the abdominal wall. Doctors can directly perform myomectomy by observing the TV screen, and there is no need to suture the skin after the operation. Because the incision is very small, a Band-Aid can be applied, and the patient can get up that night or the next morning and eat normally. In addition, there is basically no scar after laparoscopic surgery.

2. Hormone therapy

Forced reduction of estrogen levels to relieve symptoms of uterine fibroids is not a cure and has significant side effects.

Multiple uterine fibroids leading to infertility

(1) Submucosal fibroids growing in the uterine cavity are like foreign bodies in the uterine cavity that mechanically hinder the implantation of the fertilized egg. If the surface of the fibroid is ischemic and necrotic, the patient will have repeated irregular vaginal bleeding, leading to endometritis, and inflammation will become a new factor affecting infertility.

(2) Myomas growing in the cervix are not conducive to the ascent of sperm because they compress the cervical canal, hinder the movement of sperm or change the position of the cervical canal, causing the neck to deviate from the semen pool in the posterior fornix.

(3) Myomas growing in the broad ligament and uterine horn can compress and twist the fallopian tubes when they grow to a certain size, hindering the movement of the fertilized egg and the egg-collecting function of the umbrella part, causing infertility.

(4) Large intramural fibroids can deform the uterine cavity, hindering sperm ascent, affecting fertilized egg implantation and fetal development.

(5) Uterine fibroids often cause endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis and adnexitis at the same time, which is also an important cause of infertility.
