Can unclean sexual life lead to cervical erosion? Why does cervical erosion not heal for a long time?

The cervix is a very important reproductive organ for women. In recent years, cervical diseases have seriously led to female pregnancy disorders, among which cervical erosion is a very common disease. It not only seriously affects women's sexual life and health, but also leads to pregnancy disorders. At the same time, cervical erosion is one of the common diseases in women, mainly manifested by symptoms such as increased leucorrhea, backache, abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, etc., which is extremely harmful to women. So, how do women get infected with cervical erosion? This is a problem that troubles most women. Let us introduce it.

Causes of cervical erosion infection

1. Unclean sexual life, direct contact between the penis and the cervix during sexual life. If men do not pay attention to sexual hygiene, bacteria can be directly brought into the vagina and infect the cervix.

2. Multiple abortions. Repeated abortions will cause varying degrees of cervical damage, giving bacteria an opportunity to invade and cause cervicitis. Due to the stimulation of inflammation, local secretions increase, and the cervix is immersed in inflammatory secretions for a long time, which will cause erosion.

3. Excessive cleaning. Some women use high-concentration disinfectants when cleaning the vagina, which affects the growth of normal vaginal flora, inhibits the function of bacteria, and also causes varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage and eventual erosion.

4. Incomplete treatment of vaginitis provides a "breeding ground" for cervical erosion.

5. Delivery, abortion, puerperal infection or surgery or mechanical stimulation, such as cervical injury, pathogen invasion, etc. If not treated in time, it may develop into malignant changes in the cervix; if the bacteria continue to penetrate, it will affect the pelvic cavity, cause pelvic inflammation, and cause infertility.

Be careful if cervical erosion is not cured for a long time

Cervical erosion Most women will have varying degrees of cervical erosion after marriage. After pregnancy, as the pregnancy progresses, the estrogen and progesterone levels of pregnant women continue to increase, causing the cervical columnar epithelium to move outward, tissue hyperplasia, and cervical erosion symptoms to become significantly more severe, which can easily cause vaginal bleeding; excessive sexual activity, eating hot and irritating foods such as chocolate, chili peppers, longan, or hot pot can also aggravate bleeding symptoms.

1. Severe lesions. The larger the area of cervical erosion, the more likely the patient's condition will recur, and the higher the recurrence rate after treatment. Generally speaking, the cure rate of mild and moderate cervical erosion is high, and the condition can be well controlled; women with severe cervical erosion have a lower cure rate, but the recurrence rate increases. This shows the importance of early detection and treatment to completely cure the disease.

2. Incomplete treatment of cervical erosion. Currently, cervical erosion is mostly treated with physical treatments such as laser, electric perm or microwave. In order to avoid damaging other tissues, the intensity of the operation is generally light, the treatment range is limited, the surface is shallow, and the diseased tissue at the erosion site is not completely destroyed, resulting in residual diseased tissue, which can cause repeated attacks.

3. Frequent sexual intercourse. After a period of treatment, the symptoms of patients with cervical erosion have improved. If sexual intercourse is too frequent at this time, it may cause bacteria to enter the vagina, induce infection again, aggravate cervical epithelial damage, and cause cervical erosion to recur after treatment.

4. Too old. The duration of cervical erosion is also related to the patient's age. Generally speaking, the recurrence rate of cervical erosion after treatment is lower in women under 30 years old, while the recurrence rate is higher in women over 30 years old.
