What causes pelvic effusion in women?

Pelvic effusion is one of the common gynecological diseases. There are many reasons for pelvic effusion, including physiological and pathological. Most of the physiological ones will disappear naturally, while most of the pathological ones are caused by inflammation. If not treated, they will become more and more serious. So what causes pelvic effusion in women?

1. Pelvic effusion occurs due to physiological fluid accumulation.

This situation is one of the reasons why female friends have pelvic effusion. Because the female pelvic cavity is at the lowest part of the abdominal cavity, when there is exudation and leakage, it will be drained into the pelvic cavity, and finally form effusion. Some female friends will have a small amount of blood accumulation in the pelvic cavity during menstruation or ovulation, which will form effusion. Pelvic effusion in this case is sometimes a good thing, proving that the female friend's fallopian tube is unobstructed.

2. Infection occurs after surgery.

For example, if female friends are undergoing artificial surgery, IUD insertion, induced abortion, hysterosalpingography, etc., if the disinfection is not done properly during the operation, it is easy for women to get infected after the operation.

3. Affected by inflammation of adjacent organs.

Some female friends may be infected with appendicitis or peritoneal inflammation. The reproductive organs of female friends are nearby. If the inflammation is not treated in time, it can easily spread to the pelvic area and cause pelvic effusion.

4. Women do not pay attention to personal hygiene during menstruation.

When women have their period, the endometrium will shed. At this time, the blood sinuses inside the uterine cavity are open, and there will be coagulated blood clots. At this time, it is easy for bacteria to breed. Therefore, if women do not pay attention to personal hygiene during menstruation, or use substandard sanitary napkins, or have sex during menstruation, bacteria will breed and infection will occur, leading to pelvic inflammatory disease in women.

5. Miscarriage or postpartum infection.

Women are very prone to infection when giving birth or having an abortion, because the body has suffered multiple injuries at this stage, so the body is very weak and has poor resistance. In addition, the female cervix is in a state of expansion at this stage. If you do not pay attention to your own hygiene, the bacteria in the female vagina and cervix will continue to increase, causing pelvic infection in female friends.
