How to treat threatened miscarriage with hcg

Pregnancy preservation is the top priority for threatened abortion. Among women with threatened abortion, only a few actually have a miscarriage, while most can welcome the arrival of the baby smoothly through treatment. The high cure rate of threatened abortion is inseparable from hcg. Let me talk about how hcg treats threatened abortion.

During the early stages of pregnancy, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. You should avoid sexual intercourse during the first three months of pregnancy and try to avoid contact with toxic and harmful physical and chemical substances in order to avoid the occurrence of threatened abortion.

Human chorionic gonadotropin is a glycoprotein secreted by trophoblast cells of the placenta and is composed of α and β dimers.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) αβ, synthesized by syncytiotrophoblasts. It is a glycoprotein hormone with a molecular weight of 36,700. The α subunit is basically similar to FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone) and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) secreted by the pituitary gland, so they can cross-react with each other, while the structures of the β subunits are different. β-HCG is similar in structure to β-LH, but the last 24 amino acids are not present in β-LH. Vaginal bleeding stops, abdominal pain disappears, and B-ultrasound confirms that the embryo is alive, and the pregnancy can continue. If the clinical symptoms worsen, B-ultrasound finds that the embryo is poorly developed, and the blood hCG continues to not rise or decrease, it indicates that miscarriage is inevitable and the pregnancy should be terminated.

During the early stages of pregnancy, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. You should avoid sexual intercourse during the first three months of pregnancy and try to avoid contact with toxic and harmful physical and chemical substances in order to avoid the occurrence of threatened abortion.

HCG examination is of great significance for early pregnancy diagnosis:

1. Diagnosis of early pregnancy: HCG can rise to more than 2500IU/L 35-50 days after pregnancy. It can reach 80000IU/L 60-70 days after pregnancy. Urine HCG in multiple pregnancies is often higher than that in single pregnancies.

2. Determination of abnormal pregnancy and placental function:

① Ectopic pregnancy: In the case of ectopic pregnancy, this test has only a 60% positive rate. HCG can still be positive 3 days after uterine bleeding, so HCG examination can be used to differentiate it from other acute abdomen. HCG is usually 312-625 IU/L.

② Diagnosis and treatment of miscarriage: In case of incomplete miscarriage, if there is still placental tissue remaining in the uterus, the HCG test may still be positive. In case of complete miscarriage or stillbirth, the HCG test will turn from positive to negative, so it can be used as a reference for fetal preservation or uterine aspiration treatment.

③Threatened abortion: If the HCG level in urine remains high, abortion will not occur. If the HCG level is below 2500IU/L and gradually decreases, there is a possibility of abortion or stillbirth. When it drops to 600IU/L, abortion is inevitable. During the treatment of pregnancy preservation, if the HCG level continues to decrease, it means that the pregnancy preservation is ineffective. If the HCG level continues to rise, it means that the pregnancy preservation is successful.

④ On the 4th day after delivery or 13th day after artificial abortion, serum HCG should be lower than 1000IU/L, and on the 9th day after delivery or 25th day after artificial abortion, serum HCG should return to normal. If this is not the case, abnormality should be considered.

The principle of threatened abortion is to preserve the fetus. The doubling situation is determined by measuring hcg. If the doubling value is good, progesterone is injected to help preserve the fetus and successfully cure threatened abortion.

During the early stages of pregnancy, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. You should avoid sexual intercourse during the first three months of pregnancy and try to avoid contact with toxic and harmful physical and chemical substances in order to avoid the occurrence of threatened abortion.
