Overview of unsafe abortion

Artificial abortion is something that many female friends have experienced. Incomplete abortion can cause great harm to the body. It can easily cause repeated bleeding and trigger secondary infection. In severe cases, it can even affect subsequent fertility or endanger life. Today we would like to introduce you to an overview of unsafe abortion. Let's take a look.

Incomplete miscarriage often occurs in late pregnancy (after 10 weeks), when the placenta is developing or has already formed. During miscarriage, the fetus and part of the placenta are expelled, but the whole placenta or part of it is still attached to the uterine wall. The uterus cannot contract well, resulting in heavy vaginal bleeding. The remaining placenta can form placental polyps over time, causing repeated bleeding and easily inducing infection.

Symptoms of incomplete abortion: some of the pregnancy products have been discharged, but some of them remain in the uterine cavity or are still attached to the uterine wall. The strong contraction of the uterus causes the patient to feel severe abdominal pain and back pain, with a large amount of bleeding and an open cervical ostium. The cervical ostium has expanded, and blood is constantly flowing out of the cervical ostium. Sometimes, placenta or fetal tissue can be seen blocking the expanded cervical ostium. B-ultrasound examination shows that there is no perfect embryo shape in the uterus, no heartbeat, only blood clots and irregular lumps, the cervical ostium is open, and sometimes tissue is seen in the cervical ostium. If the symptoms of incomplete abortion occur, the bleeding continues for a long time and causes anemia. The patient will have symptoms such as pale face and dizziness. Blood examination shows a decrease in red blood cells and hemoglobin. Excessive bleeding causes shock, with rapid heartbeat, cold sweat, oliguria, syncope, and even coma.

Harm of incomplete abortion: If the operation is not performed completely, a small amount of fetal tissue will remain in the uterus, which may affect the contraction of the uterus and cause continuous bleeding or adhesion, infection, etc. It is best to perform another careful operation to remove the remaining tissue. Abnormal position or shape of the uterus is generally more likely to cause sequelae.

The above is an introduction to the general situation of unsafe abortion. I hope it will be helpful to you.
