What are the main causes of endometrial tuberculosis?

At present, the most common cause of endometrial tuberculosis is unclean sexual behavior, but there are other factors. For example, the most common one is infection caused by not paying attention to the hygiene of the reproductive system after gynecological surgery. You should be vigilant. The following is a detailed introduction to the common causes of endometrial tuberculosis:

Non-tuberculous endometrial tuberculosis is more common and is caused by infection with general pathogens. It is common during menstruation, abortion and after delivery: such as retained placenta and fetal membranes during delivery, sexual intercourse during menstruation, prolonged uterine bleeding, incomplete abortion infection, gynecological examinations without strict disinfection, ascending infection from intrauterine operations such as artificial abortion and various vaginal surgeries, ascending infection from cervical tuberculosis, ascending infection from vaginal tuberculosis, and infection caused by endometrial polyps or submucosal myoma necrosis.

Endometrial tuberculosis is caused by bacteria ascending along the vagina and cervix or descending along the fallopian tubes and reaching the endometrium through the lymphatic system. Most cases are caused by ascending from the vagina and cervix.

Under normal circumstances, the female vagina is acidic and the cervix has a mucus plug, which is the physiological barrier of the human body and can resist the invasion of bacteria. However, under special circumstances, such as during menstruation, childbirth, after abortion and various uterine cavity operations, this barrier function is weakened or even disappears, which can easily lead to bacterial invasion and cause endometrial tuberculosis. In addition, not paying attention to personal hygiene, having sex during menstruation and having heterosexual sex with sexually transmitted diseases are also prone to this disease. Elderly women are prone to senile vaginal tuberculosis and further develop endometrial tuberculosis due to the decrease of estrogen in the body, the decrease of acidity in the vagina and the decrease of cervical mucus plug.

Endometrial tuberculosis is also divided into two types, namely acute endometrial tuberculosis and chronic endometrial tuberculosis. The chronic stage is the most common clinically. The treatment of chronic endometrial tuberculosis must be taken seriously, otherwise it is likely to cause long-term non-healing.
