At present, there are nearly 20 million people suffering from cervical condyloma in China. Many patients suffer from the disease, and the recurrence of condyloma makes them very distressed. Many patients do not know much about cervical condyloma. After treatment, it is difficult to judge whether it has been cured, which often causes the recurrence of cervical condyloma. So, what is the standard for the cure of cervical condyloma? What is the standard for curing cervical warts? 1. Relapse The criterion for judging the cure of cervical condyloma is the disappearance of the warts. Generally, if there is no regeneration of warts in the treated area within 3 months after treatment, it is basically cured. Before treatment, all patients with cervical condyloma should first undergo an acetowhite test to identify the scope of the lesions, especially those in subclinical infection, to reduce recurrence. 2. Reinfection The patient's spouse or sexual partner should be examined and treated at the same time if they have cervical warts. Otherwise, the patient may be reinfected. 3. Treatment of female patients with cervical warts A speculum should be used in conjunction with the acetowhite test to check whether the cervical epithelium is infected. Since chronic infection with HPV16 and 18 can lead to atypical hyperplasia of the cervical epithelium and even cervical cancer, cervical condylomata, including subclinical infection damage, need to be treated promptly. (IV) Follow-up treatment 1. For patients who have been basically cured, it is recommended to use topical interferon ointment, imiquimod cream and other drugs with little local irritation and no obvious adverse reactions. The above topical drugs can be used continuously for 2 to 3 months. 2. Patients with cervical condylomata should be followed up regularly after recovery, usually once every 2 to 4 weeks for 3 months. The acetic acid white test should be performed at each follow-up. Patients should be advised to avoid sexual intercourse before complete recovery. Experts say that after professional treatment, patients with condylomata should go to the hospital for regular checkups to prevent recurrence of condylomata. After a period of observation by experts, it is confirmed that there is no recurrence, which is considered to be a true cure. Experts remind patients to develop good personal hygiene and eating habits after recovery to prevent the possibility of recurrence of cervical condylomata. |
