On the surface, cervical warts may not be particularly harmful to health, and cannot be compared with syphilis and other sexually transmitted diseases. However, you should not underestimate cervical warts because there are some potential hazards that you don’t know about, which are very harmful to women. These potential hazards may be more serious than the surface hazards. Cervical condyloma is a common sexually transmitted disease, and its incidence is rising sharply. The disease is caused by human papillomavirus infection, which can cause warts of various shapes to grow on women's labia majora, vaginal opening, urethral opening, vaginal wall, etc. At the same time, the virus can also infect the cervix and cause cervicitis. People do not pay enough attention to this. Many patients only focus on the treatment of obvious warts on the vulva, but ignore the hidden dangers caused by the virus invading the cervix. After the cervix is infected with cervical condyloma virus, it is characterized by specific cytological changes, such as dyskeratosis, increased concave cells, and nuclear atypicality. Clinically, granulation tissue growing outward can be seen, but most patients do not see obvious "warts". These lesions are difficult to see with the naked eye. Only after applying 5% acetic acid, the cervical epithelium becomes pale and white or has red spots, and presents abnormal changes such as mosaicism. This is the so-called subclinical cervical infection. In addition, some cases can see obvious cytological characteristics, such as binucleated or multinucleated mast cells, darker coloring, clear and bright nuclear periphery, double staining, dyskeratosis, etc. At the same time, the subtype of cervical condyloma virus infection in the cervix is closely related to its carcinogenicity. In order to prevent the occurrence of this disease, it is necessary to avoid all unclean sexual intercourse, do not share underwear and bath towels with others, and do not take a bath in a public bathroom. When a husband suffers from cervical warts, he must be isolated for treatment and cannot have sex before recovery; even if the rash is completely eliminated and has not recurred, the husband should wear a condom during sex for half a year. If the woman or her husband suffers from other sexually transmitted diseases, they should also go to the hospital to check whether they are infected with the cervical wart virus. Women with genital warts or cervical infection with cervical wart virus should have a cervical cytology examination at least once a year to detect cervical cancer early. Cervical warts can cause certain physical discomfort to patients, which is the superficial harm of cervical warts. However, women should pay more attention to the potential harm of cervical warts. If the cervix is infected with cervical warts, it is likely to cause other diseases, even cervical cancer, which will directly threaten life safety. |
