Bartholinitis is a disease that many women suffer from. After suffering from this disease, due to improper treatment, the disease recurs. Is there any way to completely cure this disease? Let's see what the experts say. How to completely cure Bartholinitis? The reason why Bartholin's gland abscess recurs repeatedly is determined by its anatomical structure. The Bartholin's gland is located in the lower 1/3 of the labia majora, opening between the hymen and the labia minora, and bacteria can easily invade and cause inflammation. After inflammation occurs, the gland duct edema is easy to cause blockage, so that pus cannot flow out, and accumulates to form an abscess. After the abscess is formed, it is difficult to subside on its own, and incision and drainage must be performed to make the inflammation subside quickly and heal. After the abscess is incised and drained, most of the abscess cavities can be completely closed and healed, but some people will form fistulas. When the fistula opening is narrowed or closed, pus will accumulate again and abscesses can form again, causing repeated attacks and long-term failure to heal. Some abscesses also occur on the basis of the original Bartholin's gland cyst. If the cyst is secondarily infected, it will cause repeated attacks of abscesses. Treatment of Bartholin's gland abscess should be based on actual conditions. Usually, when an abscess appears, it is first incised and drained and antibiotics are given to reduce inflammation. After the inflammation subsides, it is observed. If a cyst is formed, an ostomy can be performed to prevent recurrence. Before a cyst is formed, it is difficult to eliminate the possibility of recurrence. What are the treatments for Bartholinitis? In the acute stage of Bartholinitis, there is local pain and redness and swelling. The pain is most severe when a Bartholin's gland abscess forms. Fever is common, but chills are rare. Sometimes urination and defecation are difficult. Clinical examination can reveal a red, swollen, hard lump in the lower 1/3 of the labia majora, which is obviously tender. If it has developed into an abscess, it is mostly egg- to apple-sized lumps, often unilateral. If the abscess is not treated in time, it may occasionally spread to the posterior direction, forming a perirectal abscess, and sometimes even rupture into the rectum. So, what are the treatment measures for Bartholinitis? During the acute stage, patients should stay in bed and take care to clean the area, apply cold compresses, and use antibiotics. If an abscess has formed, it should be drained immediately. The incision should be made at the thinnest part of the skin. Generally, a half arc incision is made on the inner side of the labia majora to drain the pus. If there is an abscess, after disinfecting the vulva, use an 18-gauge needle to pierce the abscess cavity from the mucosal side, suck out the pus, leave the needle in place, and slowly inject 200,000 to 400,000 units of penicillin saline. After pulling out the needle, press with gauze or cotton balls for several minutes to prevent the drug from leaking out, and add a vulvar pad and fix it with a menstrual belt. After this method of treatment, the inflammation can usually subside within 24 hours, and the pain can be relieved. If the effect is not significant, then the incision and drainage method can be used again. Various methods for treating Bartholin's gland cysts can also be used for treatment. Bartholinitis is mainly caused by bacterial infection of the Bartholin glands, which in turn causes poor drainage of the gland duct opening. Therefore, keeping the vulva clean is the main way to prevent infection. Washing the vulva every day, not wearing nylon underwear, and timely treatment of vulvitis can prevent the occurrence of Bartholinitis to a certain extent. There is a complete treatment for Bartholinitis. As long as the patient cooperates with the doctor and takes the medicine according to the course of treatment, the disease can be cured. When treating this disease, you must eat less spicy and irritating food, eat more light food and fruits, and strengthen exercise. |
