Who in life will have an ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy can be prevented through self-prevention and early diagnosis. It is completely controllable, so there is no need to be too afraid. What kind of people are prone to ectopic pregnancy? Under normal circumstances, the fertilized egg will migrate from the fallopian tube to the uterine cavity, then settle down and slowly develop into a fetus. However, due to various reasons, the fertilized egg goes wrong during the migration process and does not reach the uterus, but stays somewhere else. This becomes an ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy in medical terminology.

In recent years, the incidence of ectopic pregnancy has increased by 4 to 6 times, which is mainly related to the fact that modern women do not control their abortions. Frequent abortions can cause intrauterine trauma, making it difficult for the embryo to implant in the uterus, and it will be transferred to other places to settle down. People with acute and chronic salpingitis have congestion and edema of the fallopian tube mucosa, adhesion of the mucosal folds, narrowing of the lumen, weakened peristalsis of the smooth muscle of the tube wall, which is not conducive to the movement of the fertilized egg and can lead to ectopic pregnancy. After investigating the incidence of ectopic pregnancy in married women who smoke and non-smokers, it was found that smokers have 1.5 to 4.0 times more ectopic pregnancy than non-smokers. This is because nicotine in tobacco can change the cilia movement of the fallopian tube. In addition, it was found that women who drink alcohol for a long time or suddenly drink a lot of alcohol are prone to narrowing of the fallopian tube lumen, low cilia swing function, poor peristalsis of the fallopian tube wall, and are not conducive to the fertilized egg to settle down in the uterus. Some women who cannot conceive normally take ovulation-inducing drugs, which can also cause ectopic pregnancy. Endometriosis caused by various reasons such as retrograde menstruation is a high-risk factor for ectopic pregnancy. Especially when endometriosis is in the interstitial part of the fallopian tube, there is a high possibility that the fertilized egg will set up camp there.

Women with uterine fibroids or ovarian cysts may experience ectopic pregnancy if the uterus and fallopian tubes are displaced and their shapes change due to the squeezing of the tumors, which hinders the normal implantation of the fertilized egg. If a woman who has had an ectopic pregnancy is preparing to get pregnant again but has not found and eliminated the cause of the previous ectopic pregnancy, there is a high possibility that she will have an ectopic pregnancy this time.
