Causes and hazards of cervical hypertrophy

Causes and hazards of cervical hypertrophy

Generally speaking, the cause of cervical hypertrophy is due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, which causes congestion and edema of cervical tissue, hyperplasia of cervical glands and stroma, and the glandular ducts are squeezed by the surrounding hyperplastic tissue, making it difficult for the mucus produced by the glands to be discharged, thus forming retention cysts. The superficial glandular cysts protrude to the surface of the cervix and are easy to observe, while the deep glandular cysts often cause the cervix to become thicker and larger to varying degrees, which is generally called cervical hypertrophy.

Simple cervical hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy, but severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, fallopian tube adhesions and obstruction, leading to infertility. Cervical hypertrophy is very harmful, so women should be aware of it.

The uterus is affected by pregnancy, so it is best to do a good job of prevention, that is, to go to the hospital for examination in time. In view of the harmfulness of cervical hypertrophy, if it is diagnosed as this disease, it is best to actively treat it.
