5 symptoms that patients with irregular menstruation may experience

Due to factors such as illness and mental stress, women may experience menstrual irregularities, which can have a great adverse effect on women's psychology and physiology in the long run. The main manifestations are as follows.

1. Early menstruation

Early menstruation refers to menstruation that comes more than 6 to 7 days earlier than usual, or even twice a month, also known as "advanced menstruation", which is mostly caused by spleen deficiency and blood failure. Common symptoms include a large amount of blood with a light red color, thin and clear texture, and a feeling of emptiness in the lower abdomen. If the qi and blood are weak, the patient will have a dull complexion, mental fatigue, shortness of breath, palpitations, a pale tongue, and a weak pulse.

2. Late menstruation

It refers to the menstrual cycle often delayed by more than 7 days, or even once every 40 to 50 days, also known as "delayed menstruation". This symptom is mainly due to blood deficiency causing delayed menstruation. Patients may experience delayed menstruation, less blood volume and light color, empty pain in the lower abdomen, weakness, pale complexion, dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, insomnia, muscle and bone pain, dry skin, pale tongue with little coating, and weak pulse.

3. Excessive menstruation

Refers to heavy menstruation, which is caused by excessive menstruation and blood flowing indiscriminately even after the due date due to qi deficiency. Common symptoms include light red menstrual blood, thin and clear menstrual blood, empty lower abdomen, fatigue, dull complexion, palpitations, shortness of breath, lazy speech, light red tongue with thin white coating, and weak pulse.

4. Lack of menstruation

Refers to scanty menstruation that stops after 1-2 days or stops with a few drops. Symptoms include light red menstrual blood, dull complexion, dry skin, dizziness, palpitations, insomnia, empty pain in the lower abdomen, cold hands and feet, pale tongue, and weak pulse.

5. Amenorrhea

Long-term menstrual irregularities may cause amenorrhea, and the patient will experience pale or sallow complexion, mental fatigue, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, insomnia, weakness in the limbs, pale tongue, and a deep, weak pulse.
