Patients with secondary amenorrhea and breast cancer should eat less fatty foods

In addition to early detection and early treatment, patients with secondary amenorrhea should pay attention to their diet and avoid eating too much oily food.

Oil can increase the taste of food, improve appetite, and ensure the normal physiological functions of the body. However, excessive intake of fat may cause obesity, high blood lipids, high blood pressure, and may also induce malignant tumors such as breast cancer and colon cancer.

According to a research survey conducted by the American Cancer Research Center on 40,000 women with secondary amenorrhea, with an average follow-up of about 5 years, among women without benign breast disease, the more fat they eat, the higher the risk of breast cancer. Women who consume the most fat have a 2.2 times higher risk than those who consume the least fat (95% confidence interval is 1.41-3.42 times). In particular, those who consume more unsaturated fatty acids and oleic acid have an even higher risk.

This study shows that if women with secondary amenorrhea consume too much fat, in addition to increasing body fat, they may also suffer from the nightmare of breast cancer. Therefore, it is recommended that women with secondary amenorrhea should reduce the fat in their diet to avoid the threat of obesity and breast cancer.

Tips: Foods with high fat content: fried foods, fatty meat and animal offal, cream products, etc.
