When used together with Scutellaria baicalensis and Rhubarb, it can effectively correct symptoms such as internal dampness and heat.

Huangbai: It is bitter and cold in nature, and has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, purging fire and removing steaming, detoxifying and treating sores. It is mainly used to treat damp-heat dysentery, diarrhea, jaundice, nocturnal emission, stranguria, and leucorrhea.

Scutellaria baicalensis: Also known as Camellia root and Tujin tea root, the root is used as medicine, which has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, cooling blood and stabilizing pregnancy, detoxifying and killing bacteria, and generally does not produce drug resistance. It is mainly used to treat febrile diseases, upper respiratory tract infections, lung heat cough, damp-heat jaundice, pneumonia, dysentery and other symptoms.

Rhubarb: It has the effects of attacking stagnation, clearing dampness and heat, purging fire, cooling blood, removing blood stasis, and detoxifying. It is mainly used to treat constipation due to excess heat, chest fullness due to heat, diarrhea due to dampness and heat, edema and abdominal distension.
