Treatment of comprehensive response to abortion

Treatment of comprehensive response to abortion

Some complications may occur during and after the abortion, such as uterine perforation, intraoperative bleeding, incomplete uterine aspiration, postoperative infection, and artificial abortion complex reaction, etc. Among them, artificial abortion complex reaction is the result of the combined effects of nerves and spirits, which is closely related to psychological factors and is more common in a small number of pregnant women with poor autonomic nervous system stability.

The comprehensive reaction of artificial abortion refers to the phenomenon that women experience bradycardia, arrhythmia, decreased blood pressure, pale face, cold sweat, dizziness, chest tightness, and even syncope and convulsion during or at the end of artificial abortion. Its occurrence is mainly caused by mechanical stimulation of the cervix or uterus causing vagus nerve excitement, and is also related to the mental tension of pregnant women, and the inability to tolerate cervical canal dilation, traction or excessive negative pressure. Once it occurs, the operation should be stopped immediately, and the general patient can recover on his own after oxygen inhalation; those with slow heart rate can be injected with atropine intravenously, and targeted treatment measures should be taken according to the patient's symptoms. Mental comfort before surgery, appropriate analgesia and anesthesia, gentle operation during surgery, appropriate negative pressure, and avoidance of excessive and multiple suction and scraping can prevent the occurrence of comprehensive reaction of artificial abortion. For pregnant women who have experienced artificial abortion syndrome, when undergoing artificial abortion again, atropine and analgesia can be injected intramuscularly 20-30 minutes before surgery.

In short, women should be fully prepared mentally before undergoing artificial surgery, try to avoid being too nervous and fearful during the operation, and should choose a regular hospital for treatment.
