3 dangers of ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy, has an incidence rate of 1.25%, that is, 1 in every 80 pregnancies is an ectopic pregnancy. Among all ectopic pregnancies, tubal pregnancy is the most common, accounting for about 95% of all cases. Other rare types of ectopic pregnancy include ovarian pregnancy and abdominal pregnancy. Most ectopic pregnancy fetuses cannot be saved. Not only that, ectopic pregnancy can also cause harm to the mother, mainly manifested in the following three aspects:

1. Rupture of fallopian tube pregnancy

The normal development of the fertilized egg depends on the uterus providing it with sufficient nutrients. After the fertilized egg implants in the fallopian tube, it cannot obtain the nutrients necessary for growth, so it can only continue to develop towards the vascular-rich muscle layer, digging its "roots" deeper until it penetrates the fallopian tube wall. On the other hand, as the fertilized egg continues to divide and grow, the volume of the gestational sac gradually increases, and the small house provided by the fallopian tube cannot accommodate its huge body, so rupture and bleeding occur. When the amount of bleeding is large, it will cause the patient to faint or go into shock.

2. Tubal pregnancy abortion

Tubal pregnancy abortion refers to the detachment of the gestational sac from the wall of the fallopian tube, which often occurs in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. Generally speaking, if the abortion is complete, the amount of bleeding is not much. If there are still pregnancy residues, bleeding will occur repeatedly because the contraction force of the fallopian tube is poor and it is not easy to stop bleeding. After a long time, a hematoma will form.

3. Abdominal pregnancy

If the gestational sac ruptures a blood vessel and bleeds, or the fetus dies due to malnutrition, it may fall into the abdominal cavity, implant somewhere in the abdominal cavity and continue to grow, or cause other discomfort symptoms.
