The main features of ovarian cysts

The main features of ovarian cysts are:

The main symptoms of ovarian cysts include lower abdominal discomfort, irregular menstruation, abdominal mass, compression symptoms, vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. The appearance of ovarian cysts has a great impact on the patient's health, so they must be treated as soon as possible.

1. Discomfort in the lower abdomen

Since the tumor itself has a certain weight, it is affected by intestinal peristalsis and position changes, which can cause discomfort to the patient, causing the cyst to move in the patient's pelvic cavity, resulting in involvement of its pedicle and pelvic infundibulum ligament.

2. Irregular menstruation

Generally speaking, most ovarian cysts have no obvious early symptoms, usually some, such as abdominal pain and discomfort, abnormal leucorrhea. Some patients will experience menstrual disorders, such as irregular menstrual cycles, increased menstrual volume, etc.

3. Abdominal mass

This is one of the most common adverse symptoms in women with ovarian cysts. Women will notice that their clothes or belts look a little tighter, and then they will notice an increase in their abdomen. The patient may also develop a firm, painless mass in the lower abdomen that may move from the pelvic cavity to the patient's abdominal cavity. They may feel pain when they are in the same room. If the patient experiences nausea or inflammation, the movement of the swelling will be limited.

4. Compression symptoms

As the disease progresses, ovarian cysts can cause compression symptoms. A huge benign ovarian cyst can fill the entire abdominal cavity of a female patient, which in turn increases the internal pressure, affects the venous return of the female patient's limbs, and causes edema of the abdominal wall and bilateral lower limbs. If the female patient's pelvic and abdominal organs are under pressure, adverse symptoms such as dysuria, urinary retention, and constipation will occur.

5. Vaginal bleeding

The occurrence of malignant ovarian cysts can cause vaginal bleeding in women. Functional tumors may cause irregular vaginal bleeding or postmenopausal bleeding. If the cyst affects hormone secretion, it may cause irregular vaginal bleeding and increased body hair in women.

6. Severe abdominal pain

If a woman with an ovarian cyst suddenly experiences abdominal pain, it is usually caused by cyst torsion, cyst rupture, bleeding, or infection.
