When the endometrial glands and stroma grow ectopically toward the myometrium, it becomes a disease in the human body - adenomyosis. It is a common and difficult gynecological disease. During the disease, the uterus will hypertrophy and even bone adhesions will occur. Will this affect pregnancy? Is it possible to get pregnant during adenomyosis? Adenomyosis is common in women over 30 years old. Due to the increasing use of intrauterine surgeries such as cesarean sections and abortions, it has a tendency to occur in younger people in recent years. Except for a small number of patients who have no obvious symptoms, most patients experience menstrual disorders and dysmenorrhea: 1. Menstrual disorders: manifested as prolonged menstrual period, increased menstrual volume, some patients may also experience spotting before and after menstruation, severe patients may develop anemia. 2. Dysmenorrhea: It is characterized by secondary progressive dysmenorrhea. It often starts one week before menstruation and is relieved when the menstrual period ends. Taking painkillers can relieve dysmenorrhea in the early stage, but as the disease progresses, the dosage of painkillers required for dysmenorrhea increases significantly, making it unbearable for patients. During examination, patients with adenomyosis can see that the uterus is uniformly enlarged and spherical, just like pregnancy, but generally not more than 12 weeks in size. During examination near the menstrual period, the uterus is tender. If the lesion is localized, the uterus is irregularly enlarged and the nodules are uneven. It often coexists with uterine fibroids. During the menstrual period, due to congestion, edema and bleeding of the lesion, the uterus may enlarge, become soft, and the tenderness is more obvious than usual; after the menstrual period, another gynecological examination found that the uterus has shrunk. Therefore, patients with adenomyosis generally have a low pregnancy rate because their enlarged uterus is not conducive to ovulation and embryo implantation, but there is still a chance of pregnancy. Usually, pregnancy can also alleviate the symptoms of adenomyosis. For women who become pregnant while suffering from adenomyosis, the editor believes that they must pay attention to diet and rest after pregnancy, supplement the nutrients needed for themselves and their babies, and have regular prenatal checkups so that both themselves and their babies can develop healthily. |
