Can cervical erosion recover on its own? Treatment of physiological and pathological cervical erosion

Physiological cervical erosion will recover on its own as estrogen secretion becomes normal. Pathological cervical erosion cannot heal on its own and will become more and more serious if not treated. However, mild cervical erosion does not require treatment for the time being. If it develops to moderate or severe, it can be treated with drugs first. If the effect of drug treatment is not ideal, microwave treatment can be performed. For precancerous lesions, Lip knife treatment can be selected.

Cervical erosion is a common cervical disease in women. Generally, women who have sex will have cervical erosion of varying degrees. If it is mild cervical erosion, there is no obvious discomfort and generally no special treatment is required. Therefore, many people believe that cervical erosion can heal itself and there is no need to worry too much. So, can cervical erosion heal on its own?
1. Can cervical erosion recover on its own?
1. Physiological cervical erosion can recover on its own
Clinically, cervical erosion is divided into two types: physiological and pathological. The increased secretion of estrogen causes the columnar epithelium of the cervix to move outward, and the cervical epidermis becomes red, which looks like erosion; when the estrogen secretion in the body returns to normal, the columnar epithelium will return to its original position, and the symptoms of redness of the cervical epidermis will subside. This is a physiological phenomenon, not a disease, so no treatment is required.
2. Pathological cervical erosion cannot heal itself . Because inflammatory stimulation causes ulceration and erosion on the surface of the cervix, it is pathological cervical erosion. Generally, pathological cervical erosion cannot heal itself. According to the severity of the disease, pathological cervical erosion is clinically divided into three categories: mild, moderate, and severe. Mild cervical erosion has no obvious clinical symptoms and generally does not require treatment. Moderate and severe erosion is often accompanied by symptoms such as a significant increase in leucorrhea, odor, sexual intercourse pain, and sexual intercourse bleeding. It is best to treat it in time, otherwise it may become cancerous.
2. How to treat pathological cervical erosion
1. Drug treatment
If the cervical erosion is mild, but symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge and contact bleeding have appeared, you can first apply some vaginal suppositories to eliminate erosion, which will help alleviate the condition.
2. Microwave therapy
When cervical erosion is more serious and drug treatment is ineffective, microwave therapy can also be chosen. Using high heat to coagulate and denature tissue proteins can basically achieve the purpose of treatment. This is currently a commonly used treatment method for cervical erosion.
3. Lip knife treatment
If cervical erosion is particularly severe and has a tendency to become cancerous, or is in the precancerous stage, you can choose Lip knife treatment, which generally achieves better results.
