Which woman doesn't want to have a proud bust? Therefore, whether it is breast augmentation surgery, taking medication or massage, many people love it. However, experts remind you not to take breast enhancement drugs indiscriminately. Currently, in various domestic sales channels, it is common to see health foods or dietary supplements containing "Pueraria lobata" as an ingredient, claiming to be able to enlarge breasts and shape curves. In fact, these products have caused more than 200 cases of vomiting, allergies, and menstrual disorders in consumers in Japan. Women who love beauty should not try these products lightly. Every woman desires to have a pair of proud breasts, which often makes breast enhancement products a hot-selling product on the market. Pueraria root contains phytoestrogen, which can enlarge breasts. More than 200 people in Japan have experienced side effects after taking it. Pueraria mirifica, also known as Pueraria mirifica, is a leguminous plant native to northern Thailand. Its scientific name is Pueraria mirifica. Its roots contain a variety of phytoestrogens, including isoflavones, deoxymiroestrol, miroestrol, etc. There have been documents indicating that Pueraria lobata can relieve symptoms such as vaginal dryness and atrophy in menopausal women. It is used in Thailand as a health food or dietary supplement. Also, because it contains isoflavones, it has been widely used in Japan in recent years as a breast enhancement and beauty health food. In recent years, breast enhancement and health foods containing Pueraria lobata as the main ingredient are commonly seen in major drugstores, the Internet, and TV shopping channels in China. However, the Domestic Drug Injury Relief Foundation cited statistics from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, which showed that from 2012 to 2017, there were as many as 223 cases of injuries from consuming health foods containing Pueraria lobata, including 67 cases of menstrual disorders, 66 cases of skin allergies, and 42 cases of abnormal bleeding. The Foundation would like to remind the public not to take it lightly! According to data reported by the National Life Center, an independent administrative institution in Japan, a 30-year-old single woman in Gunma Prefecture bought a set of health foods containing Pueraria lobata ingredients online in 2016. After taking it four times, she developed symptoms such as menstrual disorders. Only after seeing a doctor and stopping taking the medicine did her menstrual period resume. Another 20-year-old female college student in Nagano Prefecture also developed allergies, chest rashes, and even increased hormones, leading to mastitis, after taking health foods containing Pueraria lobata. The roots of Pueraria lobata contain a variety of phytoestrogens and have been widely used in Japan in recent years as breast enhancement and beauty health food. However, many people have experienced side effects such as allergies, menstrual disorders and bleeding after taking it. Selling Pueraria root health food? The views of Europe, America, Japan and South Korea tend to be conservative! Therefore, starting from September 2017, the Japanese government required that products containing Pueraria root ingredients on the market should be clearly labeled on the packaging, and the following groups should avoid consumption: pregnant women, breastfeeding women, those who have not yet menstruated, those with gynecological diseases (such as endometrial cancer, endometrial hyperplasia and breast cancer), those with thrombophlebitis, pulmonary embolism, coronary heart disease, stroke and other diseases, as well as those who are taking other medications. As for other countries, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has rejected applications to use Pueraria lobata as a new dietary ingredient because there was insufficient data to prove the safety of the ingredient. In the European Union, according to the Novel Foods Regulation, Pueraria lobata must pass a safety assessment before it can be introduced into the EU market. South Korea prohibits the use of Pueraria lobata in food. Although its place of origin, Thailand, does not prohibit its sale, it recommends that the daily dose of Pueraria lobata per person should not exceed 100 mg. If eating Pueraria root causes menstrual disorders or allergic symptoms, seek medical attention immediately! The Drug Injury Relief Foundation reminds that although there have been no reported cases of injury from consuming Pueraria lobata in Taiwan, if people experience unexpected reactions such as allergies, bleeding, or menstrual disorders when consuming foods containing Pueraria lobata, they are still advised to stop using the food immediately, seek medical attention, and report the incident through the National Health Food and Capsule Tablet Unexpected Reaction Reporting System hotline (02) 2358-7343. |
