Medically, a woman's menstrual cycle can be divided into four phases: menstrual phase, follicular phase, ovulation phase and luteal phase. These four cycles repeat themselves. Women's weight changes will also vary with the menstrual cycle, so there is a "menstrual cycle weight loss method". According to the physiological changes of women, the 28-day menstrual cycle can be divided into four stages: menstrual period, post-menstrual period, post-ovulation period and pre-menstrual period. Each stage is seven days, and the physical condition of each period is different. Therefore, women who want to lose weight can combine menstrual cycle regulation with weight loss. Physiological conditions

The endometrium begins to shed, and menstrual blood and endometrium are discharged from the vagina. As the menstrual period gradually comes to an end, edema and various discomforts will also improve.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory

The period of menstrual bleeding is called "diarrhea" in traditional Chinese medicine, which means that the menstrual blood that should be discharged from the uterus should be discharged and new blood will be regenerated in the next menstrual cycle. If the blood stasis is not completely discharged, it will affect the body's metabolism and cause poor menstrual blood discharge. Common symptoms are increased pain in uterine contractions and a significant decrease in menstrual volume. Even after the menstruation ends, the body will still be in a state of edema and it will not be easy to lose weight.

Diet plan

Eat more foods that can reduce swelling, promote blood circulation, and help uterine contraction. During menstruation, the uterus performs the function of "drainage", so emphasis is placed on the discharge of menstrual blood. You can supplement with appropriate amounts of ingredients that have the effect of reducing swelling and promoting blood circulation, such as: black beans, red beans, red amaranth...etc.

As for cooking methods, ginger has the effect of promoting diuresis and reducing swelling, so you can add an appropriate amount of ginger as a seasoning when cooking food. Sesame oil can help the uterus contract. Weight loss exercise

It does not mean that you cannot exercise during your menstrual period. Moderate exercise can help discharge menstrual blood. You should not lie down or sit still during menstruation. Traditional Chinese medicine says that "five kinds of labor can cause harm.
