(1) Blood deficiency and dryness

The symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are whitening of the vulvar skin, dryness and dullness, wrinkles and cracks, and severe itching at night.

(ii) Liver and Kidney Yin Deficiency

Chronic illness or old age, liver and kidney deficiency or excessive sexual activity can damage kidney essence, blood essence and blood, and make the skin dry. The symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are itching in the genitals, which is more severe at night, atrophy of the vulva, dryness and thinness of the lesions, and in severe cases, the labia majora is flat, the labia minora disappears, and the vaginal opening is reduced.

(III) Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency

Yang deficiency or other reasons can cause kidney yang deficiency, which can lead to internal coldness, coldness in the Chong and Ren meridians, loss of warmth in the genitals, stagnation of yang coldness on the genital skin, obstruction of blood circulation, and discoloration and atrophy of the vulvar skin. The symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are whitening of the vulvar skin, alternating between atrophy and thickening and roughening.

(IV) Dampness and Heat in the Liver Meridian

It is mostly caused by depression or anger that damages the liver, stagnation of liver qi, which turns into heat over time, and damp-heat evil flows into the lower part of the body, soaking the vulva and causing disease. The symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are hypopigmentation, roughness, wrinkles, redness, swelling and itching of the genital skin and mucosa, yellow discharge from scratched areas, changes like dampness, local burning pain, and excessive yellow and smelly vaginal discharge.
