Irregular menstruation and abnormal vaginal discharge

Irregular menstruation and abnormal vaginal discharge

Irregular menstruation and abnormal vaginal discharge may be health signals sent by the body and need to be taken seriously. Changes in the menstrual cycle and vaginal discharge are closely related to the female endocrine system, and any abnormalities may indicate potential health problems.

The menstrual cycle is usually 21-35 days and lasts 3-7 days. Leucorrhea is a normal part of vaginal discharge, usually clear or milky white, and has no odor. Irregular menstruation may manifest as a cycle that is too long, too short, or abnormal menstrual flow, while abnormal leucorrhea may manifest as a change in color, texture, or odor. These changes may be related to fluctuations in hormone levels, infection, stress, or lifestyle.

There are many reasons for irregular menstruation. It may be due to hormonal imbalance caused by polycystic ovary syndrome, abnormal thyroid function or excessive stress. Abnormal vaginal discharge may be related to infectious diseases such as vaginitis, cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease. If the vaginal discharge is yellow, green or has a strange smell, it may be a sign of bacterial or fungal infection. Long-term mental stress, irregular work and rest or excessive dieting may also cause menstrual disorders.

For irregular menstruation and abnormal leucorrhea, it is recommended to start with lifestyle adjustments. Maintaining a regular schedule, avoiding staying up late, and exercising appropriately can help regulate endocrine. In terms of diet, eat more foods rich in vitamins and minerals, such as green leafy vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, and avoid excessive intake of high-sugar, high-fat foods. If symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to seek medical attention in a timely manner, and determine the cause through gynecological examinations and hormone level tests, and receive treatment under the guidance of a doctor if necessary.
