What are the TCM auxiliary treatments for uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors of the female reproductive organs. If not treated in time, they may even affect a woman's ability to conceive, so they should be treated actively. While actively taking medication, you should also pay attention to the auxiliary treatment of traditional Chinese medicine to consolidate the treatment and promote recovery.

1. Massage

The patient lies on his back, and the practitioner stands beside him. He uses the thumb to massage the patient's Shenque, Qihai, Guanyuan, Tianshu, Sihai, Guilai, Uterus, Qichong, Xuehai, Sanyinjiao and other acupoints. Then, after rubbing the palms to warm them up, he places them on the lower abdomen and massages the abdomen in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Finally, he uses the palms to push the waist and back from top to bottom to achieve the effect of auxiliary treatment. It should be noted that massage should be stopped during menstruation.

2. External application of traditional Chinese medicine

The external application of Chinese medicine refers to chopping and mashing the Chinese herbal medicine, or mixing the Chinese herbal medicine powder with auxiliary agents into a paste, and applying it to the affected area or acupuncture points. It has the effects of relaxing muscles and activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis and promoting new blood, reducing swelling and relieving pain, clearing away heat and detoxifying, and removing toxins. For auxiliary treatment, patients with uterine fibroids can choose the following external application methods:

Grind together poria, angelica dahurica, angelica sinensis, trillium, curcuma, salvia miltiorrhiza, safflower, and red peony root into a coarse powder. Put it into a cloth bag, steam it, and use it to warm the lower abdomen. Stop using it during menstruation.

Roast and grind the dung beetle and Clematis chinensis into powder respectively, mix with appropriate amount of rice wine and apply to the patient's navel, cover with a plaster, but stop using it during menstruation.

Grind Arisaema, white mustard seeds, Magnolia officinalis, Pinellia, Citrus aurantium, Angelica dahurica, Artemisia argyi and scallion into a coarse powder, put it into a cloth bag, spray it with water, steam it for half an hour, and iron it under the navel while it is still hot.

Mash the pinellia and scallion into a paste and apply it to the navel, covering it with a dampness-relief ointment.

It should be noted that patients must apply the above methods under the guidance of a professional doctor.
