Is pelvic inflammatory disease a serious disease?

In our country, the incidence of pelvic inflammatory disease is very high due to the limitations of personal hygiene and medical conditions, the lack of awareness of aseptic operation in minor gynecological surgeries and family planning operations, and the fact that patients do not pay attention to personal hygiene when intrauterine contraceptive devices are widely used.

With the increasing frequency of foreign exchanges, the incidence of STDs in my country is increasing year by year, and the pelvic inflammatory disease caused by them is also increasing. This situation is more obvious in areas where sexual awareness is weak, sexual life is chaotic, and STDs are prevalent.

Pelvic inflammatory disease in women can be divided into acute and chronic. Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is mostly caused by incomplete treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease and prolonged course of the disease. Some women do not have the process of acute pelvic inflammatory disease, but directly show symptoms of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

Pelvic inflammatory disease, especially chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, is a very common gynecological disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is divided into acute pelvic inflammatory disease and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Compared with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, acute pelvic inflammatory disease is relatively easy to treat.

Pelvic inflammatory disease can spread upward from inflammation of the external genitalia, or from inflammation of adjacent organs or infection in other parts of the body. Bacteria often enter the pelvic cavity during menstruation, miscarriage, childbirth, or through wounds from various reproductive tract surgeries, causing inflammation. Pelvic inflammatory disease is divided into acute and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. The former has an acute onset and generally has an obvious cause. If the treatment is timely, thorough, and effective, it can often be cured.

When acute inflammation is not completely treated, it can turn into chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. However, it is more likely that the disease is slow in onset and the condition is mild, so it is not treated in time and becomes chronic. This type of pelvic inflammatory disease often causes infertility in women. Is pelvic inflammatory disease serious? The key is to completely eliminate the inflammation of pelvic inflammatory disease, then it is not very serious.
