What are the 6 symptoms of polycystic ovarian cysts? Are there any symptoms worth noting?

It is generally believed to be related to hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis dysfunction, adrenal dysfunction, genetics, metabolism and other factors. PCOS patients have sex chromosome or autosomal abnormalities, and some have a family history. So, what are the symptoms of polycystic ovarian cysts? Are the six symptoms worth noting?

1. Abnormal menstruation, scanty menstruation, amenorrhea, and a few cases may present as functional uterine bleeding. It usually occurs during adolescence and is a continuation of irregular menstruation after menarche, sometimes accompanied by dysmenorrhea.

2. Excessive hair growth is common, with an incidence rate of up to 69%. Due to the increase in androgen, the hair on the upper lip, chin, chest, back, middle of the lower abdomen, upper thighs and around the anus thickens and increases in number, but the degree of hair growth is not proportional to the androgen level. It is affected by many factors, such as the number of receptors, estrogen, SHBG and the sensitivity of hair follicles to androgens. It may also be accompanied by acne, excessive facial sebum secretion, low and coarse voice, clitoral hypertrophy, and Adam's apple, which are signs of masculinization.

3. Due to long-term anovulation, infertile patients often have concurrent infertility, sometimes occasional ovulation or miscarriage, and the incidence rate can reach 74%.

4. People with obesity exceeding 20%, body mass index ≥ 2530%~60%. Obesity is mainly concentrated in the upper body, with a waist/hip ratio > 0.85. It starts in adolescence and gradually worsens with age.

5. Through general gynecological examinations, patients with enlarged ovaries can feel enlarged and tough ovaries, and most of them require auxiliary examinations to confirm.

6. Estrogen has a good estrogen effect on all patients. During the examination, the amount of cervical mucus can be seen. Continuous and large amounts of estrogen can cause excessive endometrial hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia, and even cancer.
