Can uterine fibroids cause pelvic effusion?

Can uterine fibroids cause pelvic effusion?

There are two types of pelvic effusion: physiological effusion and pathological effusion. Lower abdominal pain is a typical symptom and is one of the causes of female infertility. So can uterine fibroids cause pelvic effusion? Studies have found that the causes of pelvic effusion are mostly caused by inflammation, most of which are caused by bad hygiene habits and have nothing to do with uterine fibroids.

Pelvic effusion mainly refers to inflammation of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, exudation, congestion, edema and other manifestations of inflammation, with increased leucorrhea, irregular menstruation and lower abdominal pain as the main symptoms. Its causes are mainly caused by the following factors:

1. Postpartum infection: Due to the weak physical condition after childbirth, the cervix does not close after dilation. At this time, bacteria in the vagina and cervix may infect the pelvic cavity upward, causing pelvic fluid accumulation.

2. Transmission of infection: If there is a chronic infection, it may be pelvic effusion caused by gynecological systems such as ovarian and fallopian tube pelvic inflammation, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. There are also a few cases of transmission of infection due to diseases such as ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, and pelvic abscess.

3. Surgical infection: If the disinfection after IUD insertion or abortion is not strict, it may cause postoperative infection. Having sex within one month after menstruation and childbirth, and taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery can also cause bacterial infection and pelvic inflammatory disease.

The cause of pelvic effusion is not related to uterine fibroids, because it will affect your daily life, so you should treat it as soon as possible. Uterine fibroids should also be treated as soon as possible, because it is not a constant disease and can increase with changes in hormone levels in the body, so treat it in time.
