What to do for Bartholinitis

What to do for Bartholinitis

The vestibular glands are located on both sides of the vaginal opening, opening in the vestibule of the vagina. When sexual intercourse, childbirth or other situations contaminate the vulva, pathogens can easily invade and cause inflammation. The pathogens are mainly Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus and Enterococcus, usually mixed infections. So, what tests should be done for vestibular glanditis?

1. Doctor's internal examination:

1. Acute Bartholinitis first invades the glandular duct.

2. Local redness, swelling, heat and pain.

3. The opening of the gland duct is often blocked due to swelling or coagulation of exudate, and the pus cannot flow out, forming an abscess.

4. Local fluctuation and enlarged inguinal lymph nodes.

2. Pathogen smear examination:

Generally speaking, the secretions from the Bartholin's gland openings and the paraurethral glands at the urethral orifice should be smeared for pathogens.

Leucorrhea is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudate, cervical canal and endometrial gland secretions, and its formation is related to the action of estrogen. Routine leucorrhea detection items are as follows:

1. pH value: After puberty, due to the stimulation of ovarian hormones, the mucosal epithelial cells are rich in animal starch, which is decomposed into lactic acid by vaginal lactobacilli, making the vaginal secretions weakly acidic, which can prevent pathogenic bacteria from multiplying in the vagina and is the self-cleaning function of the vagina. Laboratories usually use pH values to indicate pH values. The normal pH value is 4.5. The pH value of leucorrhea rises in trichomoniasis or bacterial vaginitis and can exceed 5-6.

2. Vaginal cleanliness can be divided into 4 levels:

Vestibular gland inflammation is very harmful. Women usually do not clean their vulva enough, which may cause infection. Women must pay attention to hygiene, especially washing the vulva frequently to reduce the risk of illness. If you are sick, you must treat it in time.
