What is ovarian cyst? What are the main causes?

Ovarian cysts are benign tumors of the ovaries and are the most common gynecological disease. They can occur in women of any age, but are more common during the reproductive period. Patients usually have no obvious symptoms and are often discovered accidentally during physical examinations.

The main causes of ovarian cysts are:

1. Diet structure: bad living habits, excessive psychological pressure and other factors cause excessive acidification of the body, which reduces the overall function of the human body and causes kidney deficiency. The liver and kidney are of the same origin, and the cause of adnexal cysts is kidney and ovarian cysts. The pathological deficiency of the kidney and the liver is also deficiency, which leads to a slowdown in the metabolic cycle of the lower abdomen, causing ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders, and a decline in immune function, which develops into abnormal proliferation of ovarian tissue, eventually leading to ovarian cysts and even cancer.

2. Environmental factors: unreasonable dietary structure, high cholesterol diet, vitamin A, C, E deficiency, smoking, ionizing radiation and other environmental factors are related to the occurrence of adnexal cysts.

3. Endocrine factors: The incidence rate is increased in nulliparous or infertile women, and pregnancy seems to have a protective effect on ovarian cancer; the causes of adnexal cysts include early menarche before the age of 12, menopause after the age of 50, frequent menstruation, use of ovulation-stimulating agents for more than 3 cycles (you should discuss this with your doctor), precocious puberty or virilization, etc., which are also related to the occurrence of ovarian cysts.

Ovarian cysts develop slowly clinically. As the cysts slowly grow, they often present with symptoms such as menstrual disorders, abdominal distension and pain. When these symptoms are more severe, women are more likely to have ovarian cysts, and the chances and hazards of malignant lesions and ovarian cancer are greater. Therefore, it is important to understand the cause and treat it symptomatically.
