Treatment of premature ovarian failure

Treatment of premature ovarian failure

Premature ovarian failure has a great impact on women's health. It is not only easy to induce various diseases, but may also affect normal fertility. Therefore, patients must receive specific treatment. There are many methods for treating premature ovarian failure, and the efficacy has been recognized by many patients. Common ones include: hormone therapy, immunotherapy and surgical treatment.

1. Hormone therapy

One of the causes of premature ovarian failure is estrogen deficiency, so estrogen therapy can treat premature ovarian failure and improve symptoms such as menstrual disorders and vaginal dryness caused by decreased estrogen levels. However, treatment requires persistence and must be carried out under the guidance of a doctor to adjust the usage, dosage or method of medication. Regular physical examinations are also required, preferably once a year. Regular estrogen supplementation can prevent epithelial atrophy of the reproductive organs, protect the cardiovascular system, and prevent changes in lipid metabolism.

2. Immunotherapy

Now that it has been clinically confirmed that there is an antibody factor, immunotherapy can be chosen. Immunization has become a more reliable treatment method. Patients who have been diagnosed with adrenal cortex insufficiency are also suitable for immunotherapy.

3. Surgical treatment

If it is the ovarian blood vessels that cause ovarian nutrient deficiency and premature ovarian failure, it needs to be treated as soon as possible. Before the ovarian function completely disappears, surgical treatment can be used to restore the ovarian blood supply and restore the ovaries to health. However, for those who are already in the late stage of premature ovarian failure or whose ovarian function is impaired due to other reasons, ovarian transplantation can be chosen. Ovarian transplantation has become a very successful means of treating premature ovarian failure. With the help of a small part of another person's ovary, a woman's normal physiological function can be achieved.
