Brown discharge on the ninth day of menstruation

The ninth day of menstruation usually refers to the ninth day after the end of menstruation. Brown discharge is considered to be caused by physiological factors, but vaginitis, endometritis and other pathological factors should also be considered. It can be treated with close observation and the use of drugs.

1. Physiological factors

Most women enter the ovulation period about 7 days after the end of menstruation. During the ovulation period, the hormone levels in the body will change, causing a small amount of endometrium to fall off, and blood will be discharged with vaginal secretions, usually brown or bloody. It is a normal physiological phenomenon and does not require special treatment. It will be relieved on its own in 2 to 3 days.

2. Pathological factors

1. Vaginitis: If you do not pay attention to the cleanliness of the perineum, it will cause bacterial infection, resulting in damage to the vaginal mucosa, increased inflammatory secretions, affecting the color of vaginal secretions, accompanied by itching, pain and odor. First of all, you should clean the perineum, and then follow the doctor's advice and use metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets and other drugs for anti-inflammatory treatment.

2. Endometritis: Bacteria break through the cervical defense and invade the endometrium, which can cause inflammation and affect the function and structure of the endometrium, manifested as abnormal vaginal secretion, accompanied by lower abdominal pain, high fever, abdominal distension and other symptoms. Drugs such as clindamycin hydrochloride capsules and cephalosporin capsules can be used for anti-inflammatory treatment. Pay more attention to rest and replenish fluids appropriately.

Diseases such as cervical polyps and adenomyosis should also be considered. If the condition lasts for a long time or is accompanied by obvious symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital's gynecology department in time to clarify the cause and the doctor will develop a personalized treatment plan.
