How to Treat Ovarian Cysts

How are ovarian cysts treated?

There are quite a lot of patients and potential patients with ovarian cysts in China. The treatment of ovarian cysts can be divided according to the degree of the disease, such as the treatment of benign ovarian cysts and malignant ovarian cysts is different. You can also choose Western medicine or traditional Chinese medicine treatment according to the actual situation. Of course, no matter which treatment method is used, timely detection and treatment as soon as possible are the most important for patients.

1. Benign ovarian cyst

Although ovarian cysts are a very common gynecological disease, most patients have benign ovarian cysts. For benign ovarian cysts, under the endoscope, it can be clearly seen that there is only one or a few small lumps, which are generally very small and have little impact on the patient's life. In combination with the actual situation, regular observation without surgical treatment can be considered, which is the so-called conservative treatment.

2. Malignant ovarian cyst

If it is a malignant ovarian cyst, once diagnosed, the patient needs surgery as soon as possible. Since the mortality rate of malignant ovarian cysts is very high, it is likely to develop into a cancerous tumor and spread to surrounding tissues and even the patient's entire body. For malignant ovarian cysts, laparoscopic surgery is the most commonly used surgical method, which guarantees the success rate of the operation and the postoperative cure rate.

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine

In the field of traditional Chinese medicine, ovarian cysts also have traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that ovarian cysts are mainly related to phlegm and blood stasis. Targeted use of Chinese medicine can effectively regulate the patient's qi and blood, promote blood circulation, eliminate blood stasis, and clear away heat and detoxify. Although the traditional Chinese medicine treatment cycle is longer, the possibility of recurrence in patients with ovarian cysts cured by traditional Chinese medicine is much lower.
