How to treat severe amenorrhea

How to treat severe amenorrhea?

For patients with severe amenorrhea, three methods should be used: daily care, drug treatment and surgical treatment.

1. Daily care

Once amenorrhea occurs, you need to do outdoor exercise according to your physical condition, such as yoga, jogging, and Tai Chi, which can improve your body's disease resistance. However, professional athletes should reduce the intensity of training and shorten the training time if necessary to avoid aggravating the symptoms of amenorrhea due to long exercise time. In addition, you need to make reasonable arrangements for diet, correct bad eating habits, pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables, and always ensure protein intake.

2. Drug treatment

Considering the physical condition of amenorrhea patients, dopamine receptor agonist drugs should be used for treatment. For example, bromocriptine tablets are a derivative of ergoline. Reasonable use of the drug can inhibit the body's lactation and the secretion of prolactin, which can promote menstruation.

3. Surgical treatment

For patients with severe amenorrhea, transcranial pituitary tumor resection can be used for treatment, because the tumor can be removed more thoroughly during surgery, but the trauma caused during the operation is greater. Therefore, it is necessary to observe whether there is intracranial hematoma after surgery, and actively monitor vital signs such as breathing, blood pressure and heart rate.

If patients with amenorrhea are treated with medication, they must strictly follow the doctor's instructions and remember not to change the dosage or stop taking the medication without authorization. For patients undergoing surgical treatment, they should strengthen postoperative care and pay attention to keeping the wound clean and dry to reduce the incidence of postoperative infection.
