The harm of abortion to the body

The harm of abortion to the body

Abortion mainly refers to artificial miscarriage. If performed improperly, it can cause many harms to the body, including uterine perforation, bleeding risk, infection risk, uterine adhesions, irregular menstruation, etc.

1. Uterine perforation: During the operation, if the operation is not standardized or the uterus is in a special position, such as excessive anteversion or retroflexion, the instrument may penetrate the uterine wall and cause uterine perforation. This will not only damage the uterus, but may also cause heavy bleeding and even endanger life.

2. Bleeding risk: Bleeding may occur during the operation. If the bleeding is excessive, it may lead to anemia, and blood transfusion may be required in severe cases.

3. Risk of infection: Since surgery is an invasive procedure, if postoperative care is improper or the surgical instruments are not strictly sterilized, it may lead to uterine cavity infection, and then cause pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, etc.

4. Intrauterine adhesion: If the uterine cleaning is too thorough during the operation, the endometrium may be damaged, leading to intrauterine adhesion. Intrauterine adhesion may affect menstruation, causing amenorrhea or reduced menstrual volume, and in severe cases may affect pregnancy.

5. Menstrual irregularities: After an abortion, due to changes in hormone levels and damage to the endometrium, menstrual irregularities may occur, such as early or delayed menstruation, increased or decreased menstrual volume, etc.

If you must have an abortion, you should choose a regular medical institution and an experienced doctor to perform the surgery to reduce the risk of the surgery. After the surgery, you should pay attention to rest and care to avoid excessive fatigue and infection. At the same time, you should follow the doctor's advice and have a check-up on time to understand your physical recovery.
