What to do if you have uterine contractions during mid-pregnancy due to adenomyosis

What about uterine contractions during mid-pregnancy with adenomyosis?

1. Stimulating uterine contractions are normal in the second trimester of pregnancy. But there is no pain. In daily life, be careful not to engage in strenuous activities, do not do heavy physical labor, and take adequate rest. If contractions are frequent, painful or bleeding, go to the hospital immediately to prevent premature birth.

2. Magnesium sulfate inhibits uterine contractions, and cyproterone reduces inflammation. It is recommended that patients lie on their left side to reduce spontaneous uterine contractions, improve uterine blood flow, improve placental function, and increase fetal oxygen supply and nutrition. Pregnant women should wear loose maternity clothes with loose abdomen. It is best to choose soft, breathable, and hygroscopic silk and pure cotton fabrics instead of chemical fiber fabrics. Because the fetus consumes a lot of calcium and other ingredients, toothache or stomatitis sometimes occurs, so pay attention to oral hygiene. During this period, some pregnant women will experience swelling of the feet or calves. Standing or squatting for too long or wearing a belt too tight will increase the swelling.

3. Edema is generally not accompanied by high blood pressure and urine protein, which is a normal phenomenon after pregnancy. If edema gradually worsens, you should go to the hospital for examination. Pay attention to preventing constipation, eat more foods containing crude fiber, such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, etc., and drink at least six cups of boiled water every day. Pregnant women with edema should drink less water at night and drink more water during the day. Urinary tract infections are more likely to occur during pregnancy. Drinking more water is an effective way to ensure smooth urine flow. Ensure adequate sleep, appropriate activities and good nutritional supplements, and most importantly, maintain a happy mood.
