How to treat chronic cervicitis

How to treat chronic cervicitis

Chronic cervicitis refers to chronic inflammation of the cervix, which can be relieved through medication, physical therapy, and surgical treatment.

1. Drug treatment: This is one of the common methods for chronic cervicitis, suitable for patients with mild symptoms and first onset. You can follow the doctor's advice to take local medications such as Kangfu Gel, Baofukang Suppositories, and oral medications such as cefixime tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, which can inhibit the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria, control infection, and thus relieve clinical symptoms.

2. Physical therapy: Various physical therapy methods can be used to destroy the epithelium on the surface of cervical erosion, causing it to necrotize and fall off, and then be covered by new squamous epithelium, thereby achieving the purpose of treatment. Commonly used physical therapy methods include laser therapy, cryotherapy, microwave therapy, etc.

3. Surgical treatment: It is suitable for patients who are ineffective with drug treatment and physical treatment, or who have lesions such as cervical polyps. Common surgical methods include cervical polypectomy and cervical conization.

Note: The use of drugs must be in accordance with the doctor's advice. Do not take drugs privately to avoid adverse effects. After treatment, patients need to abstain from sexual intercourse for 2 months, pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid unclean sexual life to prevent the recurrence of cervicitis. You should relax your mind and not be anxious or nervous. Exercise appropriately to enhance your physical fitness and disease resistance.
